Understanding and managing risk is often the difference between business success and disaster. This can lead to better decision making which will in turn lead to greater protection for the business. It also enables the managers to take advantage of more opportunities and the directors to implement strategy more effectively.

As regulatory pressure continues to increase all areas of a business need to improve their awareness of risk management. In doing so, they minimise the company’s potential exposure to risk. This in turn can mean the delivery of greater shareholder value.
